Remote Computer Assistance - How Does It Work?

Many IT Issues do not require a visit from our engineer or the associated wait. Using our remote access software, we can connect to your computer, view your screen and share control of the mouse. This gives you the opportunity to show us the problem as you experience it so that we can show you the solution. We use industry standard software that allows us one-time access to your computer whilst keeping you in control of what we can do and see.

Backup Plan

mtechnical manage the data backup plan for all of our customers with multiple points of protection. All company data should be stored centrally, giving a common area to backup. Backups should be taken at least daily and allow for removal from site for disaster scenarios such as fire and theft.

We work with industry leaders to provide the best solution including Microsoft, Symantec, VMware, Veeam, Veritas and Acronis, amongst others.

Prevention is always better than cure – plan ahead and protect your data.

Backup & Disaster Recovery Strategy

Whether you have physical servers or a fully virtualised environment, mtechnical can help you develop and implement the correct backup and disaster recovery strategy that will meet all of your recovery point objectives.

There are many levels of backup that can be applied to suit your business requirements.  Daily backups can be made to network storage, tape, cloud or a combination.  Servers also allow for more frequent snapshots of data to be taken during the day to give greater protection and virtualised servers extend this level of protection further.

Data Protection Obligations

If your business deals with personal data, you must ensure that you consistently act in accordance with the principles set out in the Data Protection Act.  Failure to do so can result in a fine of up to £500,000.

You must take adequate steps to ensure the security of the data. This means that it should be safe from tampering, loss, or unlawful processing. You may need to develop both technical and organisational processes to help you deal with this obligation.

mtechnical can help you secure your data through restricting access, robust backups, encryption, network security and strong passwords policies.
